Comfort

In life, we often seek comfort. A thing, a place, or a person may provide us comfort.  Essentially comfort is a feeling that is often equated with happiness or a break from other difficult things in our lives.

However, one should be careful.  Comfort is not always good. Doing the same actions again and again may seem worthwhile because we have an idea of what we can expect, but with time, satisfaction of doing certain routines may wane.

Instead, change is needed. Realizing that challenging oneself, which may feel difficult, ultimately will lead to more worthwhile results than doing the same thing over and over again. Sometimes, actions that are comfortable are also detrimental in various ways as well.

We may enjoy speaking the same language because it easy, but what if we challenge ourselves to learn a new language.  Suddenly, we may see life and ideas through a new perspective. We may enjoy drinking coffee or tea, but what would happen if we lived a day without caffeine.

As human beings, we may not be fully aware that we tend to do certain tasks for comfort.  However, working with a coach, one may begin to answer questions about why they perform certain actions. They may begin to ask themselves deeper questions so that they can change in positive ways.
