I try to be grateful for many things throughout my day. Drinking an iced green tea in the morning, sitting at a café next to someone and their little dogs, and seeing beautiful plants that grow next to the street are just a few things that create gratitude.
Being grateful is a part of being positive. And being positive influences me to complete tasks that are worthwhile. Even if my feeling is that my energy is not high or my motivation is not great, being positive helps me to achieve. For example, after working and feeling tired, my positivity facilitates going to a gym with a positive attitude, gratitude, and also realistic expectations. I may choose to use lighter weights and focus on endurance and that’s okay. I can be grateful to be around other people and to complete a few exercises.
Being mindful of what is consumed and what you create is important as well. After reading messages or watching a video, one can ask themselves what can I do that would be more worthwhile and meaningful. Reading a book, creating art, writing goals, cleaning, and other activities where we are more constructive with our energy helps us grow. Constructive activities help us change a feeling of boredom to gratitude and remind us of the joy found in work, creativity, and learning.
Consuming is easy, but if you seek growth, a positive mindset and being consistent with more constructive choices is vital. Through positivity, we can create more worthwhile habits and as we do them more consistently, we find they are more enjoyable.
Working with a coach can help one to set goals, log activities, gain new ideas for positive growth, and view a world through new perspectives. A coach can help individuals to facilitate a culture of gratitude and appreciation.
