With life and with coaching sessions, learning to see moments through a lens of gratitude is very important. We can learn to change anger in situations that are unpleasant to gratitude where we can see situations as opportunities to appreciate certain elements and to appreciate moments of struggle. Those moments can eventually lead to success.
Gratitude helps us appreciate and notice details that we may not have realized existed previously. One may begin to feel thankful for art and flora that one passes each day while going to their workplace. We may not agree with every idea that our colleague presents, but we can be grateful to have another person that shares their ideas with us, while simultaneously, be grateful that they actively listen to us.
We are all human beings. By working together where we do not compete for ideas, but share ideas in a space where we do not judge one another, we can be grateful to learn about other perspectives and gradually begin to see ideas though new lenses.
